The women’s synchronized 10-meter platform diving competition pool changed from blue to green to everyone’s surprise. The officials were as surprised as the contestants and the millions of people watching all around the world. Playing Pokemon Go didn’t come cheap for Japanese gymnast Kohei Uchimura, a six-time world champion. Uchimura’s addiction to Pokemon Go, a popular augmented-reality game, racked him up a $4,956 (500,898 yen) phone bill, unaware that he was using roaming service to play the game. As expected, Uchimura was shocked after staring at his phone bill. Two Dead After Flood Devastates Maryland County

The flood that killed two people and damaged at least 25 buildings in Elliot City, Maryland left the city devastated and could take many months to rebuild. 35-year-old Jessica Watsula and 38-year-old Joseph Anthony Belvins were caught up in the flash flood and killed, according to officials from Howard and Baltimore counties. Player’s Union to Fund Health Insurance for Retired NBA Players

The National Basketball Players Association will fund and provide retired NBA players who played in the league for at least three years with health insurance. On Wednesday, the NBPA voted unanimously to approve coverage for retired NBA players. It is being called “the first of its kind among North American professional sports,”and it “exemplifies the NBPA’s focus on the health and welfare of its current, retired and future members,” according to a statement by the NBPA.
