Education in Lesser Areas of Pakistan

Education in the lesser areas of Pakistan has been in question for the past decade. Government schools provide mediocre education where kids learn little or nothing. Girls in rural areas especially do not get the full education needed as they are hesitant to spend money on it. Their sole goals are to get them married as soon as possible, even though they may wish to continue schooling. However, privately owned schools have started and are trying to provide better education. Still, the standard of a good quality primary school is not met and students don’t get the education needed for a good breeding for the future.

Nevertheless, in hopes of providing a better education, these two non-profit organizations are trying their best to raise valued kids in their areas.

For example, in a district of Sargodha, Chak 68 lies a school with the goal to turn it’s children into well-bred kids that will get a bright future for themselves. This non-profit organization started three years ago largely for the purpose of giving the orphans and the girls in the village a good quality system.

It is situated in the heart of the village, which allows everyone to easily get to and fro from their houses without the problem of any transportation to far away schools. This was another reason that this school was run for. Allowing people who are not able to travel to far off places to easily go to school. The owner of the school is from the village himself, he knows the hardships of studying in the local primary school where there is no proper teacher or teaching system which would allow the kids to grow healthy.

Starting from a two roomed school that has now grown into a full first floor with four rooms, his mission is to reach the parents especially to give their kids a good start with a quality school and education. The school believes in an American System where the kids are fit mentally as well as physically. The school allows as a platform for teaching kids the normal everyday values that most schools fail to teach kids of this area. This area being a village has its downside that fails to bring up people that are caring for their environment or themselves. The kids in the school learn the moral values needed to create a successful society. The teachers are specially trained to give the children a friendly, informative, and engaging environment in which they can learn the best. They hope to grow this institute in the future to reach other kids in other villages.

Another case rests with a woman from Lahore in Pakistan who opened a school almost 15 years ago with the mission to teach all the girls and underprivileged kids, such as the house workers, low salary households, and the orphans in her neighborhood and city. She collects plastic bottles, bags etc. from the houses of her neighbors which she sells for the money for the school. This mission of hers has grown into

This mission of hers has grown into big non-profit organization where she has now three schools in the district with a farm house. This allows for the recycling of plastic as well as the acquisition of funds for the school without any problem. She collects enough money to meet the expenditures of the institute. This allows other unemployed people to run a recycling business and as well have jobs as being the school garbage collectors.

She has 3 vans that go to 8000 houses every month to collect plastic and sell them to the recycling houses. She also provides free food and milk to her kids while they are at school. Her school is up to 10th grade and once the girls in the school reach that level, they either go for higher studies or start teaching at the same school as teachers. She hopes to open more branches in the future.

With institutes such as these trying their best to provide good education to the kids of this country is a start to a well set society. Pakistan having the best universities in Asia is still lacking in it’s good basis, especially for the underprivileged kids. These kids who wish to study further don’t get the chance due to their money and cultural restraints. Giving them a chance that is absolute and provides a good future for them is just the thing to bring them up good.

About Haadiya Abbas

I love writing. It's my passion something I have been doing since forever. Along with my writing assignments and essays that I would get at school, I would write my own excerpts and interesting day to day stories on my own. It is a must that I write something day to day because it helps me sort my thoughts and imagination. I need something written to make sure what I am thinking makes sense.
