The athlete designed fruit-flavored drink will soon be forthcoming as organic.
It has been announced, by PepsiCo Incorporated, that it will shortly set in motion its renewed drink throughout the United States. Kroger Co. supermarkets have already been experimenting with the company’s strawberry, mixed berry, and lemon flavors.
The ultimate question is, how healthy will this “organic” beverage be? According to the United States Department of Agriculture on organic certification, Gatorade will unquestionably improve from its extra sugar packed equivalent. Concluding, as guessed, it still won’t be a healthy beverage choice for anyone, even for individuals in need of refueling power after a workout.
Gatorade continues to be bashed and condemned on by nutrition experts/nutritional supporters due to its less-than-healthy components. A usual bottle of Gatorade contains: “Water, Sugar, Natural Flavors, Citric Acid, Salt, Sodium Citrate, Monopotassium Phosphate, Sucralose, Acesulfame Potassium, and Color”
Yes, soon to be organic, but still not anywhere close to a nutritional option.
