Lady Antebellum singer, Hillary Scott, has always been a strong woman of faith, but a recent vehicular fire has reignited the singer’s passion for Christ even more so.
Scott was fast asleep in the back of a bus when a fire erupted and caused the vehicle to be caught in a blaze, but the driver that night was able to get everyone to safety and no one was hurt.
The fire was initially caused because the back tire heated up, but only Scott, her husband, and her tour manager were on the bus.
She posted a picture of the burnt vehicle to her Instagram to share her experience and to make sure her friends, family, and loved ones knew that everything was all right; she writes, “Everyone is safe and sound. Thanking God for our safety and the safety of all of those who helped put this fire out and keep us safe. Love you all!!!!”
While Scott’s personal belongings were burnt to a crisp, and she lost everything that was left on the bus, she states that the only thing that was preserved was her Bible, and when the singer reported that it survived the fire, she means that not one page had burned due to the fire.
The singer took to Instagram to post a picture of the still in tact Bible, and stated, “The outside cover was burned and messed up but NOT ONE PAGE was missing.”
The singer wanted to share her story so others can further their faith by stating, “Yall (sic), God’s Word will always stand. He is FOR YOU, WILL PROTECT YOU, AND HIS LOVE FOR YOU WILL NEVER FADE. My faith is forever deepened because of today. I hope this story deepens yours.”
While there are a lot of people out their ready to discredit the idea of having faith in religion, stories like this make people wonder and reignites curiosity and the possibility that maybe faith is much stronger than one may think.
