Braves pitcher Anibal Sanchez helped his club get a win vs. the Dodgers on Saturday, allowing only three hits and two runs in just over five innings pitched. However, burglars entered his hotel room while he was on the mound and stole over 100,000 dollars worth of property belonging to the veteran right-hander. Although there were no signs of forced entry, four watches and other pieces of jewelry were found missing.
Sanchez is trying to bounce back from a rough 2017 season where he posted a career-worst 6.41 ERA with the Detroit Tigers. Since signing a one year, $2.5 million deal with the Braves in February, the former American League ERA leader has gotten his groove back. In 6 games played, Sanchez has a 2.37 earned run average which would be 7th best in the National League if he qualified.

As the police continue to investigate the situation, Sanchez can only hope his things are found, and the thief or thieves are brought to justice.
