Public backlash against the first viable dengue vaccine Dengvaxia resulted in its suspension in the Philippines after evidence that people who were vaccinated that had not previously contracted the disease could develop a more severe form of the illness. Trisis Malware shut down the industrial safety system of a plant in the Middle East mid-November. Also known as Triton, the Trisis malware was the first attack of its kind. It targeted Schneider Electronic’s Triconex safety instrumented system (SIS). Triconex helps protect employees and the public by catching safety issues that might otherwise go unnoticed. Utah federal prosecutors possess 513 seized bitcoins, but fluctuating value raised the dilemma over what to do with the cryptocurrency. Collectively worth $8.4 million, the bitcoins were seized as part of a drug case in Salt Lake City, involving a fentanyl distribution scheme, from Aaron Shamo who was arrested for allegedly participating.
