Alexandria Ocasio Cortez is a 28 year old educator and politician who has just made history. In a grassroots campaign, Cortez has won the primaries in the majority Democratic district of Queens. Shocking Recording Sheds Light on Trauma Immigrant Children Face At Border

On June 18th, the news outlet ProPublica released audio recordings of children at the border who had just been separated from their parents. The recording was taken at a U.S. Customs and Border Patrol facility, specifically, at detention center housing. There were about ten children in the recording, and their estimated ages were around 4-10. The horrifying recording featured children wailing and begging to speak with their parents.
