Trufan, the audience engagement startup, obtains $2.3 million

Trufan, a startup that helps marketers to collect audience data and analyze social followings, made the announcement yesterday that it has raised $2.3 million in the seed round. Although the company has raised only $4.1 million so far, Trufan has made two acquisitions. Google Play has Dropped Its Commission from 15% to 30%

Google has planned to lower its Play commission globally, which sells in-app services and digital goods on its marquee store, the company stated. According to the tech giant, 99% of developers who sell goods on their platform will get a 50% reduction in fees. Moreover, 97% of the apps don’t pay any service fees. Signal, an app that is used for encrypted conversations, has been banned in mainland China since March 15, according to the censorship tracking website Greatfire.org. Just two days ago, Apple made an announcement that it is partnering with Common Sense Media to make a kid-friendly podcast, because of the growing interest in entertainment among families.
