Grab your cow costumes and head to Chick-Fil-A! This might seem like a very random set of directions- and it very well would be on any other day. But not today. Why is that? Because today is Cow Appreciation Day!

Well, what is Cow Appreciation Day? Best put by the business that declared this special day- Chick-Fil-A says:

“Cow Appreciation Day is the one day of the year when it’s okay to dress udderly crazy in exchange for free food. It is our day to show our customer appreciation and honors our iconic Eat Mor Chikin® Cows.”

That’s right, FREE FRIED CHICKEN. And we thought Chick-Fil-A employees could not get any nicer. The company has stunned us again. But this time with free food!

Yet this special day is not new. It is actually now an annually celebrated cause. Last year in 2017 at least 1.8 million people participated!

Chick-Fil-A says “ We’re celebrating our favorite bovines the best way we know how: free chicken.” And all the customer will have to contribute is showing up in some festive gear! The website explains you can buy a costume or make a costume, but really any kind of cow-related clothing or accessories will do!

The event runs from opening until 7 p.m. in participating restaurants. Be sure to join the celebration, and as the company’s famous cows -with very poor spelling- say “Eat Mor Chikin!”
