In this year’s presidential election, Clinton and all of her ties have been under a lot of scrutiny. It seems that one of her organizations is taking the criticisms and is going to be making some changes in the near future. NowThis is reporting that the Clinton Foundation may stop taking funds from foreign countries in the near future. This news is good for those who have criticized the organization and its practices.
The Clinton Foundation is reportedly only going to make these changes if Hillary Clinton gets elected president of the Untied States. NowThis is also reporting that the foundation will be amending some of its other controversial policies if Hillary Clinton is elected. In addition to limiting where funds come from, the organization will no longer be taking funds from corporate sponsors. Bill Clinton will also resign from the foundation’s board if his wife is elected president of the United States. This will eliminate some of the backlash the country has gotten from officials for allowing these things in the first place. This criticism first began when Hillary Clinton was named Secretary of State.
Though news outlets like NPR have criticized the organization, the company has defended its policies in the past. The foundation claims that the source of donations does not affect what decisions and actions the organization takes. These reforms will also cause the end of an annual meeting of major global influences called the ‘Clinton Global Initiative.’
The election is in full swing. Though there is still some debate on who will take home the presidency, the candidates are all adjusting their personal lives and other ventures so that they will reflect the values of the white house and the administration they plan to run. It will be interesting to see what changes will be made in personal and political lives when the new president takes office.
