Fantastic Four is a superhero vigilante group based on the Marvel comic books. A film of the same name was released in the year 2005 with Jessica Alba and Chris Evans and a sequel followed in 2007. However, recently the franchise got a reboot with actors Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Jamie Bell and Michael B. Jordan.
The film did not manage to get excellent reviews at the box office. The director of the film Josh Trank was not pleased with the outcome; Trank blamed the studio for the mediocre reviews the film received.
The film that was produced primarily by Fox Studios was blamed by the director for declining his ideas too much. According to reports, Trank did not clash with the producer and screenwriter Simon Kinberg. Trank disagrees, saying,
“None of those facts were true – and any of the facts that were true were spun in such a maliciously wrong way. If you ask anybody by name who I’ve worked with, from Simon to [producer] Hutch [Parker] or my crew or anybody else, they’d be like. We’ve been working really hard on this movie and we’ve had an excellent time working together. It’s been a challenging movie — for all of the right reasons.”
On his Twitter account, Trank posted a tweet that said,
“A year ago I had a fantastic version of this. And it would’ve received great reviews. You’ll probably never see it. That’s reality though.”
