President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump have tested COVID-19 positive this Friday morning and will begin quarantine promptly.

After his closest assistant Hope Hicks contracted the virus, Trump also followed to announce that he has tested positive with the first lady, Melania Trump, for Coronavirus, hurling the 2020 US elections into disarray.

On Friday morning, the US President tweeted: “Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19.” He wrote that they would begin quarantine promptly.

Hope Hicks, the President’s counselor, had accompanied Trump to the Tuesday presidential campaign and the Wednesday Minnesota meeting.

Trump’s doctor, Navy Commander Dr. Sean Conley, said in a statement early on Friday: ” Even though Trump tested COVID-19 positive, him and the first lady are both well, and plan to remain at home within the White House during their recovery. The White House medical team and I will maintain a cautious watch, and I appreciate the help provided by some of our country’s greatest medical professionals and institutions,” Conley wrote. “Rest satisfied; I expect the president to continue carrying out his duties without disruption while recovering.”

Donald Trump Tested COVID-19 Positive: This Will Affects His Campaigns

On Thursday night, Mr. Conley said he had verified the positive tests. And just almost one month to go before the polls, this is perhaps the most significant threat to the American President’s health since Ronald Reagan was shot in 1981. Previously, Trump reported that Hicks tested COVID-19 positive in an interview with Fox News. “She tested positive,” Trump said he and Melania had undergone screening tests for Coronavirus. “I tested, and we’ll see what happens,” he told Hannity. “I spend a lot of time with Optimism,” he added.

Judd Deere, a White House spokesman, said: “The president takes the health and safety of himself and everyone who works to support him and the American people very seriously.”

White House operations collaborate with the President’s doctor and the White House’s military office to guarantee that all preparations and proceedings integrate established COVID-19 protocols and methodologies for reducing contact both on and while the President is in the complex as far as practicable. The chairman revoked arrangements to visit supporters and fly to Florida on Friday in Washington DC. Instead, he will organize a conference call to help “needy seniors COVID-19.”

Melania Trump tweeted that she and Trump “are feeling good, and I have postponed all upcoming engagements.”

While on Thursday, Hicks was screened for signs, Trump moved to New Jersey to address supporters and give remarks at the presentation of the collection of funds at his Bedminster Golf Club. The night before addressing an audience of thousands, most of them were not using masks at a Duluth gathering, Minnesota.

Will Donald Trump Cease Being US President?

A day after vaccination, public health researchers believe it is rare for COVID-19 patients to get positive PCR test results, and the virus might have infected Trump for a prolonged duration of exposure than those he had talked with this week.

If Trump gets seriously ill, he will pass power to the Vice-President immediately in compliance with the 25th US Constitutional Amendment–then re-assume control when he finds himself sufficient. The House’s speaker, Nancy Pelosi, would be in the succession line if the US government incapacitated both Trump and Pence.

There were increased reports of the Coronavirus pandemic’s treatment in the news of Hicks’ infection and the President’s inability to respect elected officials’ advice. The chairperson and people working in the White House and meeting with him, including the White House staff, were routinely screened for the infection.

To defend against the spread of COVID-19, Trump regularly opposes face masks and recently organized massive rallies of unmasked supporters. While several significant activities occurred outside, where the virus is less likely to be spread, they also held indoor gatherings in Arizona and Nevada. A Trump rally connected with a spike in COVID-19 cases by an official of public health in Tulsa. Over 200,000 Americans have been killed, and it has poisoned over seven million people. Only hours before he tested positive for the virus, Trump believed the pandemic would quickly subside with no evidence.

“I want to say that the end of the pandemic is in sight,” he said in pre-recorded remarks.

What Happens Next?

With 33 days remaining until the election, Trump’s diagnosis means he will have to withdraw from the campaign trail. If he develops severe symptoms, the President will have to explain why he continually downplayed the severity of the pandemic and pushed communities to reopen schools and businesses over epidemiologists’ concerns. Hicks is the closest aide to Trump to test positive so far. She has traveled with the President several times this week, including on Marine One, the presidential helicopter, a Minnesota rally on Wednesday, and Air Force One to Tuesday night’s presidential debate.

Not just Hicks was diagnosed with the virus is the White House staff. Katie Miller stabilized from COVID-19, the vice-chairman’s press secretary, married to the advisor, Stephen Miller. Trump’s private chauffeur tested Coronavirus positive in May. After addressing a gathering in Tulsa, Herman Cain, a Trump’s ally and campaign proxy, died of the Coronavirus in July.

Mike Pence said he and his wife “send our love and prayers to our dear friends,” the President and the first lady. “We join millions across America, praying for their complete and quick recovery. God bless you, President Trump and our wonderful first lady Melania,” he wrote on Twitter.

In the past, Hicks had worked as the media chief of the White House before joining the government this year. Bloomberg Reports announced his positive result for the first time. They verified the news Thursday night in other news sources, including the Washington Post and the New York Times.
