Unfortunately, one is taking place CNN is reporting that the Entenmann’s company is recalling many of its Little Bite’s snacks. This news is upsetting families and shoppers who frequently by the product and other things from the company.
The recall is not including the entire Little Bites line. CNN reports that the recall is only affecting the mini muffins. Bimbo bakeries makes the packaging for the snacks. Officials are saying that the packaging is causing plastic contamination that has the potential to be dangerous. Small pieces of plastic particles are being found and food. This can cause sickness if it is consumed. Officials are also saying that the packages affected have a “Sell By” or “Best By” date of October 8th or September 24th.
Little Bites snacks are very popular in grocery stores across the country. The snacks are often bought for children and paired with school lunches or other snacks for kids. The recall has many people worried, especially parents. The items have the potential to be harmful to anyone and putting children’s foods at risk is very troubling to many.
Bimbo bakeries has not given out any more details regarding the recalls and their role in the problem. CNN has reached out to Bimbo bakeries, but did not immediately receive a comment from the company.
