Main Suspect in Paris Attacks Captured

Today, March 18th, Belgian counterterrorism police swarmed upon a Brussels neighborhood, netting one of the most wanted men in Europe, signaling an end to the long standing manhunt.

Salah Abdeslam, only twenty-six years old, was a major part of the November 13th terrorist attacks in Paris, which resulted in the tragic loss of life for 130 individuals. Abdeslam is considered to be the chief logistician of the attacks, and has managed to elude law enforcement for months after the attacks.

Salah Abdeslam is believed to be the last surviving member involved in the Paris attacks, and was shot in the leg during today’s counterterrorism operation. It is speculated that Abdeslam lost his nerve during the Paris attacks and fled, which is the reason he has survived so long.

The most crucial part of this news is that law enforcement were able to subdue Abdeslam alive, which can potentially lead to information about the attacks and who else was involved. He had a hand in virtually all plans made for the Paris attacks, and could be the key to finding the whole truth of the terrorist actions.

In addition to the apprehension of Abdelsam, four others were arrested, three of which were family to Abdelsam. Friends and relatives remain shocked that Salah Abdelsam had a hand in the attacks, expressing that he seemed normal prior to the attacks.
