So Kanye West decided that it would be a good idea to attend an audition for “American Idol.” Of course, he was a success
During the weekend of October 9th, Mr. West was in San Francisco to appear at the DNC Fundraiser hosted by the president himself, Barack Obama. This event was Saturday, which meant that Kanye had Sunday to himself and decided to spend it performing on a stage he’s probably never been before.
This appearance is a bit surprising as it seemed as if Kanye wouldn’t have anything to do with the TV show as he in turned down the offer to be one of the judges of American Idol in 2013. He said he “didn’t want to go that mainstream.” And now here he is two years later, somewhere in-between being overwhelmingly mainstream but also a genius. This kind of publicity stunt will make him known to many Americans not interested in either rap or “Keeping Up With The Kardashians.”
It was “a complete surprise,” says a Fox rep to rushhourdaily.com’s Music Reality Rocks about Mr. West’s audition.
