Oprah Winfrey has officially landed the last interview with Michelle Obama as the First Lady. CBS and OWN teamed up to deliver a one-on-one program with Michelle Obama in the White House.
Winfrey is expected to conduct the full interview with the first African-American First Lady. The interview will be broadcasted through CBS on December 19th around 8/7pm central. The First Lady interview will also have a second airing on Winfrey’s OWN network on December 21st.
The program is titled “First Lady Michelle Obama Says Farewell to the White House-An Oprah Winfrey Special.” Winfrey is expected to speak to Michelle Obama about her family’s private residential life at the White House.
Winfrey also will ask the First Lady about the eight years she spent at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and the legacy she will leave behind. The host will also discuss Michelle Obama’s plans for the future.
Michelle Obama has been under speculation by the media on what she and her husband will do after President Obama’s term is concluded. Reportedly The First Lady has commented that she is considering writing her own memoir.
Although fans and other commentators have noted Michelle Obama’s knack for politics herself. They wonder if she will still to be involved in political matters after her position is over.
During this July’s Democratic National Convention speech, Michelle Obama was polled to have a 64 percent approval rating. The First Lady’s speech talked about America’s essential optimism. Our First Lady discussed how she herself, an African American woman, was living in a house that was previously built by slaves.
Michelle Obama was ranked 13th place in Forbes list of the World’s 100 Most Powerful Women. Oprah Winfrey was listed seven slots below the First Lady in the Forbes list.
