Prince William, Prince Harry and Kate Middleton each receive a very nice allowance from Prince Charles in order to help cover the many royal events and activities they must attend.
Clarence House has recently released Prince Charles’ and his wife Duchess Camilla’s Annual Review for the last year. According to the report, £2.965 million ($4.667 million) of their funds go toward what is noted as William, Harry and Kate’s “official activities.”
A majority of the royal funds are provided by Prince Charles’ estate, the Duchy of Cornwall, for which he has received £19.845 million ($31.239 million) throughout the last year. According to Clarence House, his private income comes from this estate and covers most of the royals’ official activities and charity events.
In addition to this, £1.736 million ($2.73 million) comes from the Sovereign Grant and £498,000 ($784,486) comes from government departments; Prince Charles pays income taxes on all of his earnings.
According to the report, Charles,
“Has been a leader in helping to foster good sustainability practice for 40 years.”
