After only averaging 17 points in the first 2 games against the Rockets, 2-time NBA champion Stephen Curry scored 35 points and posted 6 rebounds in game 3 to lead Golden State past Houston by a 41 point margin, the largest postseason loss by any team with at least 65 regular season wins.
The former MVP got back to his old form by putting up this incredible performance that reached its peak in the second half. He scored 18 points on a perfect 7/7 shooting and 2/2 from beyond the arc in the third quarter alone.
It was an emotional showing for Curry, who made sure the whole world knows who Oracle Arena belongs to last night by yelling “This is my f**king house.”

Despite the victory, Steph’s mom was not thrilled about his profanity. Steph said his mother let him know how she felt about him swearing on live TV. “She was telling me how I need to wash my mouth out, saying to wash it out with soap,” Curry said. “It’s a message I’ve heard before.”
While Sonya Curry might not approve, it’s possible the Golden State fans may be more forgiving than his mother considering his performance has moved the Warriors within 2 victories of yet another trip to the NBA Finals.
This win gives Golden State a 2-1 lead in the series. In addition, it was their 16th consecutive home playoff win, taking the place of the 1990-91 Bulls (15) for the most in NBA History.
