Taylor Swift has decided that she does not want her named soiled by those in the porn industry. In order to repossess her name from those who may be using it, the popular musician decided to buy out all the pornography domain names that include Taylor Swift in them.
Such sites include, TaylorSwift.porn and TaylorSwift.adult, and while many people think that she is trying to prevent any scandalous pictures from surfacing, but in reality she knows that no such pictures are out there. The young role model is just trying to keep her name from being abused, or associated with such sites.
At this moment it is unsure what Swift plans to do with the sites, but many believe that she will be removing the names and any affiliations with her from the Internet.
GossipCop defended the artist’s integrity and image stating, “Swift has largely become an industry leader when it comes to protecting her career, and the domain purchases are just the latest example of managing her brand and image. Last year, the singer pulled her music from Spotify in protest of how little the music streaming site pays artists, and she also trademarked some of her famous song lyrics. What do you think of Swift buying TaylorSwift.porn and TaylorSwift.adult?”
Swift overall has had a pretty clean public image, and despite having multiple A-list boyfriends, she has yet to seriously tarnish her image by doing something controversial. Many celebrities face this same problem with these pornographic websites, but Swift showed them that she wants control over her identify and her name.
