Today, April 14th, marks the first day of the 30th annual Vision Expo and Conference. The event is taking place in the Jacob Javits Center in New York City, and is scheduled to run until April 17th.
What began today was the education portion of the event, with the exhibition portions of the conference beginning tomorrow. The event will be home to over 330 hours of educational programs dealing with eye-care and tech, and topics that will be discussed at the event include future high tech contact lenses, healthcare, online refraction and more.
The conference’s co-chairman Mark Dunbar had this to say about the expo and conference:
“Topics are carefully picked and cultivated to address the interests of the entire eyecare community. As a result, Vision Expo education is always forward-focused and provides the most complete and most robust curriculum available.”
The expo isn’t just home to educational resources dealing with eye-care, the exhibition parts of the expo also deal with medical advancements, fashionable eyewear, and the latest in technology on display.
