This documentary-style television series will document the behind the scenes action of the Browns and their newly acquired young talent.
2 of the first 4 selections in the 2018 Draft belonged to the Browns, which they used to select All-American Denzel Ward, and Heisman Trophy winner Baker Mayfield with the first overall pick.
The show will highlight the rookies in their attempt to adopt the gritty NFL style of play as well as focus in specifically on the first round picks rather than promising players like running back Nick Chubb simply because the expectations for top 5 picks are through the roof. Especially for a team that has taken multiple quarterbacks over the years in the draft and repeatedly failing to find one that could lead the team to victory, the Browns are putting all their eggs in one basket with Mayfield.
Many teams decline to be featured in the show because it would be an unnecessary distraction while the teams are trying to compete. However, The NFL has an agreement with HBO to produce the show so, despite a lack of interest, a team will end up in front of the camera.
There is a way to be excluded from being the subject of the program. If an NFL team had appeared on the show in the past ten years, had a first-year head coach, or had reached the postseason in the last two seasons, they were exempt from participation. The Browns were one of the few teams that did not meet these criteria.
