Koenigsegg Jesko is the Company’s best sports car so far. The car is a successor to Agera. Jesko is one of the few cars whose horsepower is greater than the whole weight of the car. This makes it unique. Let us review some other amazing specs and features of the car:

Cost Price and Releasing:

Koenigsegg released their latest model at the 2019 Geneva Motors Show. The interesting thing is that the company sold 83 cars even before the displaying of the car. Moreover, all the remaining sold in five days. However, this trend isn’t new with sports cars. Other automakers, like Bugatti and Aston Martin, have sold out their cars before debut.

The market price of Jesko is around $2.8 million. The reason for this high price is the hard work done in putting the amazing features together.

Engine and Performance:

The new Jesko has a twin turbo V8 engine from Agera. However, Koenigsegg has made big changes in the car. One of the most important change is decreasing the crankshaft weight, which weighs just 27.5 pounds (ca. 12 kg). This increases the overall efficiency of the engine.

The engine also has new lightweight rods and an air injection with a carbon-filter tank. This filter has a turbocharger and produces a sudden throttle response.

In comparison to Agera, Jesko has an extra horsepower of 237 for E85 and 102 for regular gasoline. The Jesko has an extra 96-pound-feet torque. The main problem with the car is that it is heavier than Agera. Still, its power to weight ratio is 1:1.

The astounding feature of the car is the new LST. LST stands for light speed transmission. This means that the gearbox of the car has a nine-speed multi-clutch system. This enables you to choose between any possible gears. For example, LST will shift the car from seventh to fourth gear quickly. It won’t wait for synchronization. This saves time and momentum.

Regarding the performance, the car is quicker than most sports cars. It will move from 0 to 60 mph (ca. 97 km/h) in 2.5 seconds. The top speed of Jesko is 300 mph (ca. 483 km/h).

Exterior:

The Jesko has some features of Agera, like point noise and the headlamps. It also has carbon-fiber splitters, which give it an aggressive look. Under-body-flaps increase the downward release. The car also has extra canards on the bumpers and a vent on the front hood. The headlamps are thin.

The roof of the car is close to the belt-line. The roof is quite small on the backside. The side skirts are somewhat aggressive and contain winglets. You also have the option to remove the roof of the car to give it a more sport-like look.

There are many designs of the wheel available. The most common one is the five-spoke rims with calipers and disk brakes. There are also strong carbon-fiber wheels. The front wheels are 20 inches (50.8 centimeters) each and the rear wheels are 21 inches (ca. 53 centimeters).

Interior:

In comparison to the previous models, Jesko has more head and legroom. The main priority of the interior is weight saving. However, the car still has amazing interior features, like a 9.0-inch touchscreen, an infotainment system, USB ports, and Apple Carplay.

The car also has a 5.0 screen present behind the steering to deliver important information to the driver. The seats are made using hollow carbon fiber.

Safety:

Koenigsegg Jesko has been tested for crash tests and the results are positive. Therefore, it is quite safe for driving. Some amazing safety features of the car include parking assist, lane assist, emergency braking system, hydraulic shock absorbers, and adjustable ride height.

Verdict:

Koenigsegg Jesko is the car that has it all. It has an awesome exterior, interior, and engine features. It also has good top speed. However, the price is the main issue with the car. You should remember that it isn’t your everyday car; it is one of the fastest cars in the world.
