The X-Files was a science-fiction television series starring David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. The show that first aired in 1993 and ended in 2002 was about two FBI agents who investigated the unusual cases which involved aliens.

With the rise in popularity of science-fiction and fantasy these days, shows like that are truly missed by the audience.

Therefore, Fox will be reviving the show for a six episode mini-series on the 24th of January next year. The revival will star the original lead pair to retain the elements of this Emmy winning television show.

The short teaser of the series released by Fox showcases the characters Mulder and Scully back in action. The teaser mostly just reveals that the lead pair is working where they had left off and nothing else. As a few more trailers or spoilers may be released in the future, fans will definitely begin speculating again.

After a seven year break, the cast has begun shooting the episodes in Vancouver this time. Hopefully, the television binge watchers of 2015 will be able to watch one episode at a time like the old days.
