Unfortunately, modern violence results in the harm of many people, and in a recent incident, the outcome was no different. According to CNN, a recent stabbing of two officers occurred in Brussels. The incident has some speculating that this could have been a terror attack.
This news arose on Wednesday morning. CNN is reporting that the stabbing occurred in the Brussels district of Schaarbeek. The incident has left the city on high terror alert. This is level three and is one tier below the highest level possible. People of Belgium, as well as neighboring countries, are all looking to see if the incident will have any connections elsewhere.
The officers involved in the incident have not yet been identified by officials, but reports are showing the incident did not have the most tragic outcome possible. CNN is also stating that both of the officers have been hospitalized, but are not in life-threatening conditions.
While the incident has many people in fear and shock, it is not the first incident to occur in the city. CNN reported earlier this year that a bombing occurred at the city’s airport. The attack was done by suicide bombers and left 32 people dead. Officials are also claiming that the Paris attacks in November of last year which resulted in the death of dozens of people also had ties to the city. The residents, as well as the government officials of the city, are doing all they can to combat the violence and terror scares in the city, but unfortunately, incidents are still occurring.
