The film is rumored to reveal some of the backstory for the greatest pilot to ever fly in the galaxy Han Solo played by Alden Ehrenreich and also starring Emilia Clarke as new character Qi’Ra and Donald Glover as the smoothest man in the galaxy Lando Calrissian. Woody Harrelson, Paul Bettany and Thandie Newton appear as new characters in the film. Phoebe Waller-Bridge voices a new droid L3-37 and of course Chewbacca will be in the movie.
The director of Solo: A Star Wars Story is Ron Howard who replaced the original directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller after Lucasfilm fired them due to creative differences. Also, it is rumored that a majority of the film was reshot. These issues have worried fans but these early reactions may alleviate some concerns.
Tweets tend to highlight the performances including Glover, Ehrenreich, Chewbacca and L3-37. The story of Solo: A Star Wars Story is criticized to be very predictable, lacking depth but very fun. Also, the action scenes are praised as well.
I loved #SoloAStarWarsStory so much. It’s a western. A caper. Funny with so much heart. It’s got so much surprises that fans are going to love. Donald Glover is charming x1000. Alden Ehrenreich is a great #HanSolo and just know I’ve been saying this for years! Fave new #StarWars.
