When Paul Walker and Vin Diesel first started filming the first “Fast and Furious” movie, they probably did not know the relationship that would develop and the brotherhood that would form between the two actors.
Due to the events last year and Walker passing in a fatal car collision; Diesel was left devastated by the loss of just more than a co-star. Diesel wanted to keep his friends memory alive, and that is why he dedicated his baby’s name to the late actor.
Diesel announced his newest baby’s name on the Today show on Monday, where he told reporters that his newest baby with girlfriend Paloma Jimenez would be named Pauline.
Diesel told the hosts of the Today Show, “He (Walker) was in the room. There’s no other person that I’m thinking about as I’m cutting this umbilical cord. I knew he was there and I felt like, you know, a way to keep his memory a part of my memory, a part of my world.”
The newest film in the “Fast and Furious” series, “Furious 7” will be released on April 3, and will be a very moving film for all those who have grown within the film franchise. In the preview for the film Diesel exclaims, “I don’t have friends, I have family,” a line that definitely resonates with all the actors outside of the silver screen.
At an early screen for the upcoming film Diesel even stated, “When the tragedy happened, I lost my best friend. I lost my brother.” Diesel stated that filming the rest of the movie after Walker’s death was hard labor, but he did it with love. Diesel then gave a speech before the early screening that left most in attendance in tears.
