For fans of all types of music, the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame Ceremonies are ones that remember what a band has accomplished over the past years. Whether a band is still together, or the members are alive or have passed, no matter what it is a night to remember the diversity behind the art of rock n roll.
It was just recently announced that this years candidates will be Green Day, Lou Reed, Ringo Starr, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Double Trouble, Bill Withers, Joan Jett the Blackhearts, and the Paul Butterfield Blues Band.
Each year there is a comprehensive list of acts that go under review, from a panel of the biggest names in the music industry. All of these artists have been through a unique journey, whether the case is remembering what Ringo Starr has accomplished on his own or with the Beatles, or how Green Day went from playing in small underground punk clubs to being one of the biggest rock acts of the past twenty years. Joan Jett, Lou Reed and Stevie Ray Vaughn who have all set standards and have influenced the shape that music has become today.
The president of the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame Foundation had just that to say when he stated “These inductees epitomize rock and roll’s impact over the past 50 years and continuing through today.”
Ringo Starr will also be receiving a special award for musical excellence.
