Allen is that you? Actor Zach Galifianakis, arrives at the premier of his latest film Birdman, in New York and is missing a few pounds.
In an interview with Conan O’Brian, Galifianakis has parted with his Hangover days,
“I stopped drinking and I just kind of put the weight off… I was having a lot of vodka with sausage…delicious but bad for you.”
E! News nabbed some time with Galifianakis, asking him about the dramatic change with roles.
“It’s a different type of movie…with the tone of the movie, you kind of want to change the tone of your acting. It was challenging because it was new.”
Birdman, staring Michael Keaton, revolves around the life of Riggan Thompson, a dried up actor who used to play superheros. He is attempting to débuting a Broadway production that he wrote, directed and stars in. The hope is that he will return to his former glory, restore his family and find himself.
Galifianakis also addresses to the Hollywood Reporter his feelings of being a celebrity.
“I like to be an actor, and that’s it. The blurred lines are, I think, manmade. I think celebrity is a manmade thing; it’s not innate in us. We have people telling us, ‘We should pay attention to these people,’ for all the wrong reasons, their personal lives and whatnot. … I’d rather just do my work and go home and watch Lifetime.”
Birdman hits theatres Oct 17.
