Consumers simply take a brief survey that lets them select what they’re interested in.
eBay will then use these selections to curate lists of items on your homepage. eBay says that it’s created dozens of shopping themes to choose from. The company has been rolling this feature out since earlier this year.
“Our shopping experience should be as individual as each shopper on eBay,” says Bradford Shellhammer, Head of Browse & Personalization for eBay. “By asking people to tell us a little bit about their interests, we’re delivering a personalized store built around the things you care about most.”
The Interests feature is currently available on eBay’s mobile app in the U.S. for iOS and Android. Over the next few months, it will roll out to new platforms, including the mobile-web and desktop. International market availability is not clear as of now.
