Netflix’s series Stranger Things has officially added two new actors to their season two roster.
Sadie Sink is set to play Max, a young tom girl with a complicated history and a suspicious personality. Sink is known for her work on NBC’s American Odyssey as a series regular. The young actress has also guest starred in Netflix’s Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and FX’s The Americans.
Stranger Things is also adding the Australian actor Dacre Montgomery to their cast as Max’s older step brother named Billy. Montgomery is also set to play the infamous red ranger in Lionsgate’s upcoming Power Rangers film. Montgomery’s character Billy is a charismatic Camaro driving bad boy and classic girlfriend stealer. The character has been rumored to cause trouble for season one’s couple Nancy and Steve.
Netflix has also reportedly given some of their season one guest stars a promotion. Joe Kerry, who play’s Jean-Raphio, and is also a lookalike to character Steve, will be a series regular actor. Noah Schnapp, who plays Will Byers, will also be upgraded into a series regular actor for show’s second season.
Netflix’s nostalgic eighties themed horror series has become a cult classic phenomenon with their fans. Stranger Things premiered on Netflix July 15th 2016. The series also received positive reviews from TV critics for its acting, characterization, writing, and atmosphere.
Matt and Ross Duffer are the creators and writers of Stranger Things. The Duffer brothers have reportedly promised their fans more information about the Upside Down dimension, which is an alternate dimension full of nightmarish monsters. The Duffer brothers also promised to explain why Sheriff Hopper and the young telekinetic girl named Eleven have a strong connection towards one another.
Although the Duffer Brothers aren’t revealing too much about the second season’s plotline, the new season is set to have nine episodes.
The second season of Stranger Things is set to premiere on Netflix in 2017.
