If anyone has ever heard, “scratch that” or seen a photo of the band Slipknot, then they would agree that the band’s extreme image is incomparable to any other major music artist.
The band’s live shows are chaotic, and the band themselves express themselves in such extreme ways. That is why when fans of the band heard that guitarist, Mick Thomson was stabbed in the head by his brother, they were shocked, but ultimately they were not in disbelief over the recent news.
Thomson and his brother were involved in what they claim was a “knife fight”, and were stabbing one another in the name of unconventional sport.
Officials claim that when they arrived they discovered the two, who appeared to be drunk and stabbed, but with non life threatening wounds, even though one of the stabs was directed to the back of Thomson’s head. Thomson was rushed to the hospital after the incident and his brother followed in a own separate ambulance.
Fans grew concerned over the status of the Grammy award-winning guitarist, but singer/vocalist of Slipknot, Corey Taylor, took to Twitter to reassure fans that he seems okay tweeting, “Mick Update: from what I’ve heard he’s okay. We’re sending him all your thoughts. Thank you for that.”
Neighbors claimed that they were unaware of the two hurting each other, and did not hear or notice anything going on that day. Police remain unsure whether or not to arrest anyone for the stabbing because they were consensual.
