Boris Johnson and Carrie Symonds, his fiancée, have named their new baby Wilfred Lawrie Nicholas after the two doctors who saved the prime minister’s life as he battled coronavirus.
Symonds announced their new son’s name on Instagram on Saturday. She posted a picture where she was with the boy, and it’s quite glaring that he has his father’s blond thatch thick hair.
Symonds, 32, explained all the three names of the boy she conceived on Wednesday. Wilfred, is Johnson’s grandfather’s name, while Lawrie is from her grandfather.
Meanwhile, Nicholas is from the two doctors that treated Johnson, Nick Hart, and Nick Price.
She expressed happiness and gratitude to the maternity staff of University College London Hospital. “My heart is full,” she said.

Johnson was able to return to work on Monday after recovering from COVID-19, which left him very ill at Intensive Care. He was grateful to the doctors at St Thomas’ hospital, whom he said had saved his life, no question.
The two doctors, Price, director of the infection at St Thomas’ and Guy’s hospital, and Hart, director of respiratory and critical care, said they were honored and humbled for the recognition.
Symonds, who used to be a public relations executive, also exhibited symptoms of the virus. However, she recovered fast. In February, she announced that her baby was due early in summer.
Later in the year, Johnson will take paternity leave to be with his wife and new son.

Johnson and Symonds moved into Downing Street together in July when he became the prime minister. In February, they announced that they were engaged, and also that they were expecting their first child.
Johnson’s private life is complicated. Besides, Britain’s tabloid media once dubbed his “Bonking Boris.”
Moreover, he got sacked from the policy team of the Conservative Party for his lies about an extramarital affair. Also, he has been in two previous marriages that ended with a divorce, and he refuses to mention how many children he has.
