One of Victoria’s Secret’s top tier Angels, Josephine Skriver, dishes out the inside scoop on some of her top-secret beauty tips. The fashion model was born and raised in Copenhagen, Denmark, but made her debut at New York Fashion Week in 2011. She has walked in over three hundred fashion shows, posed for some of the biggest fashion brands and been on the cover of various magazines, such as Vogue, Elle, Vanity Fair, Harper’s Bazaar. Even though Skriver is just twenty-four years old, she knows all the ins and outs to always ready for the runway.
Some of her best tips are posted on her Instagram account. The key to an exceptional selfie or pose is lighting. Skiver advises her fans to “Find the best light possible. And find a simple backdrop so you can focus on the look and not everything that’s going on behind you.”
To look your personal best, you must feel your best. The Angel starts every morning with a quick, but powerful work out session at around 6 am. Fitness and health are a commitment, but Josephine reminds us that we are all human beings and sometimes, she even has trouble getting to the gym when she is out of town or at a shoot. But Josephine shared that when she is home, in New York City, she heads over to the Dogpound where her “trainer combines strength training and cardio movements.” If you ever stop by the Manhattan gym, you may be able to squat or crunch along some other Angels, such as Romee Strijd and Jasmine Tookes, as well.
During the summer months, the model reminds us to always protect our skin. Sun Bum SPF is her go to product for keeping her skin fresh, moisturized and damage free; it is an organic sunscreen that can be purchased at your local Target. In addition to SPF coverage, Josephine also wears “a baseball hat to block the sun from my face.” Since she is constantly shooting in exotic places around the world, it is also important to drink “lots of water to make sure I’m hydrating from the inside out”, said the Danish model.
Not only is the iconic Victoria Secret model spreading the word about her most confidential beauty tips, but she is also advertising her new favorite scent, Victoria’s Secret new Bombshell summer fragrance. “It’s a really lighthearted fragrance that’s fruity and floral. From the moment, you smell it, you’re like OK, this is definitely a fragrance that you want to wear with a cute sandal and sundress,” said Skriver. She will be spritzing the scent on herself all summer long!
